Does it hurt?

Although the procedure can take upward of 2 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.

Can I get brow tattooing when pregnant or breastfeeding?

Pregnant? No you can not have a brow tattooing appointment when pregnant.
All Cosmetic Tattoo / Micro pigmentation procedures carry some risk of infection because the skin is being broken. While all measures are taken to prevent any infection during the procedure is a very slight possibility you can get an infection if not cared for correctly after the procedure (for example if the client wears makeup or touches the healing work done). If this happens, then the baby could pick up a secondary infection.

Breastfeeding?
We CAN tattoo your brows when breastfeeding HOWEVER you must wait 48 hours after your appointment to breast feed your baby. This means you must have expressed milk frozen and ready, or your baby must drink formula.

How permanent is Cosmetic Tattooing?

Cosmetic brow tattoos generally last between 1-2 years however there have been cases where the brows have lasts 5 years. The permanence of a cosmetic tattoo depends on many factors; individuals skin type, medical conditions, colours used, etc. Colours do fade over time, and we usually recommend a touch-up every 12 months to keep your brows fresh.

How do I choose a colour for my brow tattoo?

Tess will discuss and determine your colour once she sees your skin type and hair colour. Tess will take your desired result into consideration prior to choosing a colour and will try her very best to match your chosen shade. It is important that you are aware that colours do change post implantation and that Tess may decide to change your colour on your next touch up.

How long will my brows take to heal?

Healing time will differ between individuals. It can be anything from 4 days to 12 days. The majority of clients resume work the next day and manage to keep their brows discreet. Bolder brows and itchiness is the first sign of healing, please ensure you do not itch the area and keep the area moist with the cream we have provided you, as itching will cause patchiness within the tattoo.

We ask that for 10 days you:

DO NOT get them wet

DO NOT sweat

APPLY cream once daily or twice if your brows are drying out.
